BAZ Outdoors, Indoors
BAZ
So we are all stuck at home and going a bit bonkers… The government approved, daily constitutional hour in the Asda carpark isn’t cutting the mustard and the holiday cancelations are clogging your inbox and making you cry. Here is a small list of virtual tours to get out of the house with and start stretching your brain again:
Frank Lloyd Wright Buildings
The architect, famous for the organic architecture buildings in the states have just started doing short IGTV videos around these ground breaking and breath taking buildings on their own Instagram pages respectively, but very handily, they are all being complied under the hashtag.
2. The Pyramids of Giza
Google Street View is a silent hero of the virtual tour medium. Not just for gauging your peak hour drive out of the city or commute time to the airport of choice. They have taken billions of photos from the roads around the world and happened to get special access to some of the greatest world monuments and the old roads which cut through and around them, such as the Pyramids, the Angkor Wat temples, Christ the Redeemer and even Disneyland.
4. The Louvre
If you’re an art lover and sadly, can’t jump on the Eurostar after work on a Friday for a short weekend trip to one of the greatest and largest collections in the world, just over the channel, you’re covered. Many of the collections are available in VR, so you can have a browse and get up close and personal with each piece.
With many of the tours, there are also audio guides to listen too as your explore the exhibitions and displays. The best perks with the medium of virtual tours; no school groups to navigate around, no restrictive opening hours and having to rush through the last of the exhibition and miss parts and they are all free!
So with the above list and potentially a crafter-noon making a VR head set, you have a quite a few hours of edutainment ahead.
